First Soccer Game

The anticipated soccer season has begun! Last weekend we had fun making a trip to Academy to pick out Andrew's soccer gear. He was so excited and had to break in his new cleats and shin guards as soon as we got home.
We got to his game bright and early. Andrew's team is called Salt Lake. The team practiced for the first 30 minutes. And then they were off. Andrew soon got the hang of things and was in the middle of it all. He was the first one to start off as goalie. He didn't have to block any balls but did get to kick in the ball a couple of times. If you haven't been to a soccer game for this age group, they basically run around in a herd. You may also see some crying, some playing in the dirt in the middle of the field, stealing the ball from your team mate, and much more. It's a hoot!!
We are so proud of our soccer boy! And so it's begun, I'm officially a soccer mom!
